Job Description:

Designs, implements and maintains Java/J2EE Applications to provide the technical infrastructure for the product offering.

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Continuously look for better and newer solutions that will improve performance
  2. Provide suggestions and guide developers on how to improve performance
  3. Develop prototypes based on new solutions
  4. Analyze/Debug source code
  5. Analyze/Debug databases and objects
  6. Execute performance regression tests
  7. Complete regression performance tests and document what the performance impact is on a new release
  8. Work on automated performance testing solutions which will help in identifying performance impact on a release version before it is sent to the client
  9. Respond in a timely manner to any urgent performance problems

Qualifications, Experience & other Requirements:

Mandatory Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Java and J2EE concepts
  • Strong knowledge of C++
  • Proficient in code profiling and debugging using tools for Java and C++
  • Experience with programming and scripting skill such as Java, Per, C, C++, Shell scripting
  • Good database skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Team player with ability to influence/negotiate
Education & Experience:
  • 3-8 years of experience in large software development
  • 3+ years of experience in J2EE development and performance tuning
  • BE/MCA or equivalent
