FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: GoldenSource Corporation, a global software provider of enterprise data management (EDM) solutions for financial and securities institutions worldwide, today announced the appointment of Shashank Mishra as national sales manager for India. Based in Mumbai, Mishra will be based in GoldenSource's Mumbai office. He reports to Hugh Stewart, vice president of sales, EMEA and Asia. The addition of Mishra to the Mumbai office comes at a time, when, despite ongoing turmoil in the financial services sector, banks in the Asia Pac region are still projecting growth in targeted IT investments in 2009. "India, amongst other Asian countries, looks very promising for us. We have a solid new business pipeline for 2009 in the region. By adding a sales function to the existing development, support and services capabilities, Shashank will play a crucial role in helping us close the new business opportunities and in supporting our expansion plans for this important region," said Hugh Stewart, vice president of sales, EMEA and Asia at GoldenSource. Before joining GoldenSource, Mishra worked at Reuters India as a sales specialist, where he managed enterprise business for South Asia. He has also held positions at Reliance Capital Asset Management, Ltd., Metlife India, Travelex, OM Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance and Netherlands India Communication Enterprise Ltd. Mishra holds a B Com from Nagpur University and is an IRDA, AMFI and NCFM’s Derivative certified professional. * * *
